Davao City, May 3, 2025 – In its continuing mission to develop purpose-driven leaders across Mindanao, JCI Davao successfully hosted the third edition of The Prologue: An Opportunity to Impact, an official orientation session designed to welcome and inspire aspiring members of the organization.
Held at Alcohall, Michael’s Wines & Spirits in Dacudao, the session introduced participants to the values and mission of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) movement. Attendees were given a comprehensive overview of JCI’s local and global significance—underscoring how youth leadership, when rooted in service, can catalyze real community transformation.
Nurturing Youth Leaders for Impact
This edition of The Prologue featured insightful testimonials from JCI Davao Treasurer Jerry Acido, Jr. and Vice President Ralph dela Cerna, both of whom shared personal stories of growth through their involvement in JCI. Their experiences highlighted how the organization sharpens leadership skills, enhances community engagement, and instills a lasting sense of civic responsibility.
“Joining JCI changed how I lead, how I listen, and how I serve,” one speaker shared. “It’s about being part of something that matters—right here in Mindanao.”
Creating Sustainable Change Through Youth Engagement
By spotlighting real-life impact stories and outlining JCI Davao’s signature projects—from health and environment programs to youth empowerment campaigns—the orientation inspired attendees to view leadership not just as a goal, but as a lifelong calling.
Events like The Prologue are vital to JCI Davao’s strategy of cultivating a network of young leaders who are informed, equipped, and motivated to serve their communities.
