The first Area council Meeting for JCI Philippines Area 5: Mindanao Active Citizens was held at Zamboanga City on January 20 to 22, 2023. Our chapter, led by our 2023 President Arthur Dizon Jr.. together with Joseph Tiu and Ryan Ho raised our collective interests and aspirations for Area 5. This ACM was hosted by JCI Lamitan which was led by their very own and esteemed 2023 Local Organization President Rollen Chua Echem together with JCI Western Mindanao-3 Region Regional Board and Metro Basilan Chapters.
The first day, was all about culture of Zamboanga which then ended with a mouthwatering satisfaction of their Curacha night.
Area V officers and LO presidents discussed the plans and deadlines on the second day. Simultaneously, a training for members was conducted with Christian Olasiman, with his topic “Understanding your Audience.” The next speaker of the day was JCI Sen. Jamju A. Rivera who discussed “Project Management” and “Parliamentary”. The day ended with a feel good Fellowship Night.
This ACM was presided by Area Vice President Mari Ellen Hope Jalon along with the six Regional Vice Presidents of Area 5 namely; RVP Atty. Faith GMacailing of Davao Region, RVP Roseller Suico Fiel II of Central Mindanao, RVP Thirdie Chua of Northern Mindanao, RVP Lesther Gil D. Bumatayof Southern Mindanao, RVP Mary Therese Arseña of Western Mindanao 2, RVP Jenvick G. Magallanes of Western Mindanao 3. We also would like to thank and congratulate our hosts JCI Lamitan and President Rollen and the WestMin 3 host team for a successful and fruitful 1st ACM Area V!
