JCI Davao, Inc. is thrilled to announce the culmination of the Grab Crab Project Year 3 – a community development project initially created to improve the crab production of Tambongon Fisherfolks Associoation (TAMFIAS) at Purok Libra, Brgy. Lasang, Davao City.

This year, the project is expanding its scope to cater the protection of the mangroves living in the area. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, the officials and members of TAMFIAS and Brgy. Lasang, as well as representatives from our partners and sponsors, we were able to put up a coastal fence that will help prevent debris and other waste materials from entering the Mangroves’ delicate ecosystem.

Project Chairman Jestoni Diaz does his best to weigh down the pole for the net.

The importance of mangroves in maintaining the balance of our coastal environment cannot be overstated, and we’re proud to have taken a significant step towards preserving these valuable natural resources.

The project also involved the youth of the Barangay as they led the planting of young mangrove seedlings, as well as helped cleaned the coastal area.

We want to extend our gratitude to all the volunteers who spent countless hours working tirelessly to ensure that the project was completed on time. Your dedication and commitment to our cause are truly inspiring, and we hope that this event will serve as an example of what can be achieved when we work together towards a common goal.

We look forward to continuing our efforts to protect and preserve our coastal ecosystem and hope that Grab Crab Year 3 will continue a long and fruitful journey towards a cleaner, healthier environment for us all.
